Many people ignore breakfast, but in reality breakfast is the first meal, which provides energy for the entire daily routine.
Breakfast is considered the most important meal of the day, as it breaks the overnight fast, gives a kick start to the metabolism and helps in strengthening the digestive system.
If breakfast is eaten as part of a balanced and healthy diet, it increases energy throughout the day, reduces fatigue and keeps the mind fresh.
Studies show that eating a balanced breakfast is linked to good health, including increased concentration, better memory, lower cholesterol levels, reduced risk of diabetes and heart disease, and a lower chance of weight gain.
If breakfast is not taken at the right time, there may be a risk of problems like strain in the muscles of the body and brain imbalance.
It also increases the chances of overeating throughout the day, which can cause many gastric problems like acidity, bloating, nausea and indigestion.
According to body science, having breakfast at the right time can protect the body from many types of metabolic diseases. Breakfast must be done within 2 or 3 hours of waking up in the morning.
A balanced breakfast contains all the essential nutrients as per our daily routine. Nutrients, i.e. carbohydrates, proteins, good fats, vitamins, minerals, fiber, etc.
Carbohydrates give us immediate energy, whereas proteins and fats give us energy after some time. Fiber makes the stomach feel full.
Porridge:
Porridge is a healthy breakfast food which is made of whole grains. Being rich in protein, fiber, complex carbs, and other minerals, it provides all the nutrients to the body and also controls blood glucose.
Strengthens the immune system by supporting the good bacteria found in the intestines.
Oats meal:
Oatmeal is a healthy breakfast food due to its rich content of dietary fibre, minerals, trace elements like iron and zinc, and plant proteins.
Oatmeal made with milk replenishes the extra protein. By taking fresh fruits mixed with it, the deficiency of antioxidants and vitamins can be compensated. It is included as a heart-healthy, gut-healthy, and anti-diabetic food.
Chana or Moong Dal Chilla:
Being a mixture of iron, protein, complex carbs, and fiber, this diet helps in reducing anemia (blood deficiency). When consumed with green vegetables, it is a balanced breakfast dish that acts as a panacea for bone and heart health.
Yogurt:
It is a good source of protein and calcium, along with probiotics. It can be made into a healthy smoothie with nuts, seeds (chia seeds), and fresh fruits. It helps boost gut health as it is rich in every nutrient.
Poha:
It is considered to be low in calories and a good source of iron. A good breakfast can be prepared by making a mixture of some nuts, like peanuts, and some vegetables. Thus, if breakfast is started at the right time and a balanced diet is followed, then you feel energetic and fresh throughout the entire routine.
To stay healthy, it is not only important to eat healthy things, but it is also essential to take them at the right time.
